  • Let it sit for 5 minutes under the lid.

  • No cleaning required before cooking.

Dicing/slicing (10-15 minutes)

How to do:

  • Peel the beets.
  • Cut into small cubes or thin slices.
  • Pour boiling water over it and cook over medium heat for 10–12 minutes.
  • Check with a fork: if soft, drain the water.

  • Convenient if you need boiled beets for dishes urgently.

Pressure cooker (15-20 minutes)

If you have a multicooker or pressure cooker:

  • Place the beets in a bowl and cover with water.
  • Cook on Boil or Vegetable mode for 15–20 minutes.

Important!
Color and taste: To prevent beets from turning pale, add 1 teaspoon of lemon juice or vinegar to the water.
Checking readiness: pierce the root vegetable with a knife - it should go in easily.
Whole beets: If you need to cook them quickly, choose small ones.

Why you shouldn't rush

Long cooking (40-60 minutes) helps preserve sweetness and an even texture. Shorter methods are best for emergencies but may alter the flavor slightly.
