American doctors conducted a series of studies to identify the healthiest types of diets.

The conclusions of Western experts were commented on by Dr. Oksana Drapkina, writes Rossiyskaya Gazeta .

As it turns out, one of the healthiest diets is the Mediterranean diet, which includes legumes, grains, poultry, seafood, fish and vegetable oils.

But at the same time, the amount of red meat, alcohol and sweets should be significantly limited.

A pescatarian diet is also beneficial. It consists of fish and plant foods.

The ovo/lacto-vegetarian diet includes not only plant foods, but also the addition of eggs and/or dairy products.

The study also identified less healthy diets, including vegan and low-fat, low-carbohydrate diets.

The paleo diet and keto diet will also not benefit the heart and blood vessels.
