How to Make Sauerkraut to Help You Lose Weight: A Secret Recipe

Secondly, it contains tartaric acid, which is known to speed up metabolism and slow down the process of converting carbohydrates into fats.

The result, as they say, is obvious.

So, of course, you should start the cooking process by “getting” the necessary ingredients.

In addition to cabbage, you will need 1 carrot, a tablespoon of salt, 3 bay leaves and 0.7 liters of water (based on 1 kg of cabbage).

First, chop the white cabbage and grate the carrots on a coarse grater. Mix the prepared vegetables. No need to mash.

Place 3 bay leaves on the bottom of a clean jar, then move the cabbage inside.

There is no need to tamp it down, just fill the jar up to the shoulders.

Salt should be dissolved in cold boiled water and poured over the cabbage so that the water rises 4-6 cm above the level of the cabbage.

Cover the jar with gauze and leave it in an enamel bowl for 3 days. Don't forget to pierce the cabbage with a wooden stick to the very bottom several times every other day.

Repeat the procedure every day, pouring the released juice back into the jar.
