And oatmeal cooked in water (provided that there is a minimum of salt and oil) is considered an excellent product for dietary and therapeutic nutrition.

And all because oats are rich in substances that are very valuable for the body.

At the same time, there is a myth in society that oatmeal washes calcium out of the body.

Doctors say that this stereotype is really just a myth, and nothing more.

They smashed the misconception to smithereens by declaring that the main cause of calcium deficiency is insufficient amounts of sex hormones, vitamin D and magnesium.

In winter, when there is a lack of sunlight and vitamin D (in 92% of the population), oatmeal does not have any negative effect on calcium levels.

Nutritionists advise cooking porridge in milk, but only if you are not lactose intolerant and want to gain a little weight.

Otherwise, and also in case of stomach and intestinal diseases, it is better to cook porridge in water with the addition of butter.

By the way, oatmeal goes well with vegetables and dried fruits.
