Periodic diets

The expert noted that this approach allows you to maintain a healthy weight.

But at the same time, irregular adherence to the nutritionist’s recommendations leads to serious health problems.

Dire consequences

Drastic changes in diet can cause various disorders.

And if you stick to a strict diet, your basal metabolic rate may decrease.

That is, the body will start saving calories in a stressful situation. As a result, weight may increase.

There is also a high probability of changes in eating behavior and the development of such disorders as overeating and “compulsive disorders”.

It is also noted that a person who temporarily gives up their favorite foods wants to receive some kind of reward later, which leads to breakdowns, stress and anxiety.

Therefore, cravings for “forbidden” foods may increase, a cycle of restrictions and overeating may arise, and it becomes difficult to break out of this circle.

That's why it's so important to find a happy medium in your diet and develop sustainable habits.
