The first secret is coffee grounds as a fertility stimulant. Yes, you heard right: the remains of your morning latte can become your garden bed’s best friend. Caffeine not only invigorates you, but also accelerates the decomposition of organic matter in the soil, saturating it with nitrogen.
Simply mix the grounds into compost or sprinkle around your plants and watch the leaves turn dark green and the fruit fill with juice.
But remember: overdo it and the acidity of the soil will increase, which will destroy capricious crops.
The second "forbidden" method is yeast feeding. Baker's yeast is not only for dough. Dissolve a packet in warm water, add a spoonful of sugar and let it sit.
Pour the resulting mixture onto the roots of the plants. The yeast activates the soil microflora, accelerating the absorption of nutrients.
The result? Cucumbers grow like yeast - literally. However, this method is dangerous for fungal crops: it can provoke diseases.
The third secret is ash from... cardboard boxes. Yes, regular cardboard, burned to ash, contains potassium and phosphorus, which strengthen roots and increase plant resistance to drought.
