It is possible that you make a stupid mistake year after year. We are talking about improper soil cultivation.

Correct this oversight - and then the chances of getting a huge amount of large and tasty raspberries will be maximal.

An expert of the online publication "BelNovosti", agronomist and landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh spoke about a common mistake summer residents make when caring for the popular berry crop.

Why are raspberries small?

Many gardeners make the following mistake: they loosen the soil too often and too deeply.

The root system of raspberries is superficial.

This is why excessive loosening can seriously harm the crop: damage to the roots cannot be ruled out as a consequence.

The result may be a drop in raspberry yield and the formation of berries that are too small.

In order to still collect a quality harvest, the gardener should act as follows: do not loosen the soil cover, but use compost or humus as a mulching material.

There are other possible reasons for a poor raspberry harvest: the presence of weeds near the garden crop, failure to regularly trim the bushes, failure to combat pests, the presence of the berry crop in the same place for several years in a row.
