Unfortunately, apple trees, beloved by many summer residents and gardeners, often produce rotten fruit.
This is associated with fungal diseases, including moniliosis and scab.
To avoid such an undesirable result, in early spring the trees should be sprayed with a certain solution.
The main thing is to treat the plants in this way before the buds open.
The key ingredient of the mixture is salt.
You need to dissolve half a kilo of the substance in 10 liters of water.
Actually, that's all. We'll spray our apple trees with this product, providing them with protection from the aforementioned ailments.
In addition, experienced gardeners say that the mixture will also protect trees from codling moths and scale insects.
And, as already noted, it will protect against fungal diseases.
But you should be careful when spraying, do not overdo it, otherwise you can salt the soil, which will negatively affect the flora.
It is enough to spray just once in early spring, when the average daytime temperature is about 5 degrees Celsius.
It is also important to remove moss, lichen, frozen and broken branches from the trees (with a hard brush).
