If you don’t know how to feed trees and shrubs in the spring, you can’t count on a rich harvest of fruits and berries.
Spring fertilization is a must, even if you applied fertilizers in the fall. These are completely different procedures.
Anastasia Kovrizhnykh, an expert of the online publication "BelNovosti", a scientist agronomist and landscape designer, told us how to feed the garden in the spring.

The summer cottage season begins with tidying up the garden, pruning, preventative treatment against diseases and pests and, of course, fertilizing.
The best fertilizer
If phosphorus and potassium are added in the fall, then in the spring, nitrogen-containing compounds are chosen as fertilizer.
Nitrogen is necessary to activate the growth and development of trees and shrubs.
When to apply
It is important to apply nitrogen-containing fertilizers before the buds swell.
What to contribute
The simplest option is a urea solution. It is prepared from 30 grams of fertilizer, which must be dissolved in 10 liters of water.
Fertilizer consumption depends on the age of the tree.
You can also use organic matter – bird droppings – as a fertilizer.
To prepare the nutrient mixture, you will need a bucket of manure and 10 liters of water. The concentrate is infused for two days.
Then the prepared mixture is diluted with water in a ratio of 1:10. Consumption is 1-2 buckets depending on the age of the tree or bush.
