It is possible to grow garlic the size of a fist, but to do so you will have to break all the traditional rules.
In the fall, a month before the frost, add fresh fish to the bed. Yes, you heard right!
Place small fish (sprat, capelin) or waste (heads, tails) on the bottom of the furrows in a layer of 2-3 cm. Sprinkle with soil and plant garlic cloves as usual.

As the fish decomposes, it releases phosphorus, nitrogen and trace elements, which the garlic absorbs throughout the winter.
In the spring, you will notice that the seedlings appear a week earlier and the stems are twice as thick.
But the method has its nuances. Firstly, the fish attracts cats and rodents. To avoid digging, cover the bed with spruce branches or netting.
Secondly, do not use salted fish - salt will kill beneficial bacteria.
If there is no fish, replace it with bone meal: 200 g per square meter.
The second stage is feeding in April. Prepare a “hellish mixture”: 1 glass of ammonia, 2 tablespoons of boric acid and 10 drops of iodine per 10 liters of water.
Water the garlic at the root - this will speed up the growth of the heads and scare away the onion fly. But be careful: exceeding the dosage of ammonia will burn the roots.
The third secret is nettle mulch. When the shoots reach 10 cm, cover the soil with a 5 cm layer of fresh nettle. It will suppress weeds and release silicon, which strengthens the cloves.
Don't pick off the stems right away! Let them grow 15-20 cm, then twist them into a knot - this will redirect the juices to the head.
Harvest garlic in dry weather, and after drying, dip the heads in melted wax - this will keep them juicy until spring.
The fish method will cause controversy, but the result will silence the skeptics.
