Radishes should grow large, juicy and, of course, there should be a lot of them. Ruddy root vegetables are pleasant to eat just like that or to chop into salads.
But a few mistakes can turn vegetables into tough, stringy clumps.
Anastasia Kovrizhnykh, an expert of the online publication "BelNovosti", a scientist agronomist and landscape designer, told how to grow a harvest of tasty radishes.

If you want, you can find a whole bunch of advice on this matter, but there are only three main ones.
First advice
Prepare the soil properly for planting radishes so that you don’t have to apply fertilizer later.
At this stage, complex mineral fertilizers or nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium supplements are added.
It would have been desirable to do this in the fall.
Two weeks after the emergence of seedlings, urea is added, and after another two weeks, the plants are watered with a solution of wood ash.
Second advice
Radish loves loose and well-moistened soil, but there should be no stagnant moisture.
In heavy and dense soil, root crops develop poorly, if they manage to form at all.
Also, when choosing a location, don't forget that radishes don't really need much sunlight.
Third piece of advice
In order for the radish to grow with a pleasant bitterness, you need to water the bed on time.
This should be done only when the top layer of soil has dried out.
These simple tips will help you to gather a rich harvest of tasty and healthy radishes, and at the same time become known as a professional among your fellow gardeners.
