How to recognize a disease that is confused with soil fatigue? It will destroy your rose garden

Are your roses withering, the leaves turning yellow, and the buds falling off without opening? You blame it on bad soil or heat, but the real reason may be worse.

We are talking about bacterial burn, a disease that imperceptibly destroys bushes in 2-3 weeks.

Its first signs are reddish spots on the stems and "charred" leaf tips. Many gardeners, having noticed this, overwater the plants or add fertilizer, which only worsens the problem.

Bacteria are carried by water, tools and even clothing!

The only way to save roses is to radically cut off the affected parts and treat them with copper sulfate. But if you miss the time, you will have to uproot the bush so that the infection does not spread to other plants.

Don't let illness disguise itself as ordinary stress!

However, fire blight is not the only enemy. Roses often suffer from powdery mildew, which is provoked by high humidity.

The white coating on the leaves is a fungus that blocks photosynthesis. It is controlled by spraying with a solution of soda (1 tbsp. per liter of water) or whey (1:3).

But it is important not to overdo it: excess moisture on the leaves will only worsen the problem. It is better to water the roses at the root in the morning so that the soil dries out by the evening.

Another threat is spider mites. They are difficult to spot: the sand-sized insects hide under the leaves, leaving a thin web.

The plant slows down its growth, the leaves become marbled. A cold shower (they do not tolerate low temperatures) or an infusion of onion peel (100 g per 5 liters of water, leave for a day) helps against the mite.

But if the bush is heavily affected, it is better to use biological products based on predatory mites, which are safe for roses.

Prevention is your best weapon. Always disinfect your pruning shears with alcohol after pruning diseased plants.

In the fall, remove fallen leaves - fungal spores overwinter in them.

And in the spring, spray the bushes with garlic infusion (200 g of crushed cloves per 10 liters of water) - this will repel both bacteria and pests.

And remember: healthy roses rarely get sick. Monitor the nutritional balance, do not overwater them and give them enough light - then even the insidious bacterial burn will bypass your garden.
