Do you weed out your nettles and burn them? Then get ready for a shock: this “stinging beast” can replace half of the fertilizers and chemicals in your garden.
And no, we’re not talking about the infusion for feeding (although it also works).
Nettle can save your harvest from aphids, increase the size of your berries, and even drive away moles. And all of this is free and environmentally friendly.

Let's start with plant protection. Pour water over the nettles (1 kg per 10 l), cover and leave for two weeks.
Strain, dilute 1:20 and spray the leaves. The smell will repel aphids, and the solution will saturate the plants with iron and magnesium. But that's not all.
Place fresh nettle stems in the holes when planting potatoes - the Colorado potato beetle will pass them by. And if you spread the leaves under the currant bushes, the berries will become larger and sweeter.
Nettles are an ideal mulch. Cover your strawberry beds with them and weeds will stop growing and the soil will remain moist even in hot weather.
But the main life hack is against moles. Put bunches of nettles into their holes - the stinging hairs irritate the pests' paws, and they leave forever.
And also from nettles they make paper! Dry the stems, soak in water, grind and boil - you will get a mass for hand casting. But this is for those who like experiments.
Just remember: nettles are not a weed, but your secret assistant. By throwing them away, you lose a fortune!
It is important to remember that not all folk advice is good and the result cannot be called guaranteed. Therefore, in some cases it will be better to use proven industrial means.
