Just one penny pack of soda can become the main secret of your garden.

Gardeners have been arguing for years about the best way to prepare onions for planting, but this method turns conventional wisdom upside down.

No potassium permanganate, no expensive drugs - just soda, hot water and half an hour.

Soda does not simply disinfect. In a warm solution it “awakens”, enhancing its protective properties.

This prevents bolting and creates a barrier against disease.

Hot water is not a coincidence here. At a temperature of 45–60°C, soda works more actively, penetrating the bulbs and preparing them for rapid growth.

To make the solution, simply heat a liter of water to 60°C, add a heaping teaspoon of soda and stir.

The container is wrapped in a cloth to retain heat, and the onions are immersed for 30 minutes.

It is important not to peel the bulbs completely - the upper scales protect them from damage. It is also not worth cutting off the bottoms or necks - the wounds will attract rot.

The remaining solution is not poured out. It is used to water the beds to reduce soil acidity, replacing ash or dolomite flour.

And if you sprinkle the soil with a small amount of dry soda before planting, this will improve the structure of the soil.

This approach saves budget and time, and the harvest is striking in size and juiciness. Try it - and the onion will thank you with strong feathers and large heads.
