The snow has just melted, and suspicious spots have already appeared on your plants?
These are fungi that have overwintered in the soil and are beginning their attack.
We will tell you how to combat plant diseases and how to save the future harvest.

Phytophthora and powdery mildew
Phytophthora is activated by high humidity, and powdery mildew loves dense plantings.
To stop them, prepare an “armor-piercing” solution: 1 liter of whey, 10 drops of iodine and 10 liters of water.
Spray the plants in the morning - lactic acid will create a protective film on the leaves, and iodine will disinfect the soil.
If there is no whey, use kefir or sour milk. And for prevention, add 1 tbsp. of urea to the solution - this is an additional feeding.
Rust and root rot
If you notice rusty spots on the leaves of currants or gooseberries, it is rust. Remove the affected areas and treat the bushes with a solution of potassium permanganate (5 g per 10 l of water).
And to prevent root rot, use trichoderma, a beneficial fungus that suppresses pathogens. Dilute the powder according to the instructions and water the soil around the plants.
Another helper is garlic. Plant it between rows of strawberries or tomatoes - phytoncides will stop the spread of fungi.
Prevention
It is important to observe crop rotation. Do not plant tomatoes after potatoes, and cucumbers after pumpkins. Alternate crops so that diseases do not accumulate in the soil.
And don’t forget about green manure: mustard and radish will cleanse the beds of infections better than any chemicals.
After harvesting, sow them and bury the greens in the soil - this will improve the health of the soil.
If the plants are already sick
Don't rush to throw them away. Try to save them using folk methods.
For example, in case of late blight of tomatoes, spray the bushes with a salt solution (1 glass per 10 liters of water).
Salt will dry the leaves, creating a barrier for fungus. And horsetail infusion will help against powdery mildew on roses: pour 100 g of dry grass into 1 liter of water, boil for 20 minutes, strain and dilute 1:5.
