Early spring is a time of active work in the garden. And while there is still some time free from work in the garden, it is necessary to tidy up the trees and bushes.
But do you know what is the best way to treat fruit trees?
Anastasia Kovrizhnykh, an expert of the online publication "BelNovosti", a scientist, agronomist and landscape designer, told us how to treat trees in early spring.

To prevent diseases, gardeners use iron or copper sulfate.
The fruit harvest depends on the timely implementation of the procedure and the choice of product.
Which copper sulfate is better?
In fact, these are two different means that are used at different times and for different purposes.
They protect plants from diseases equally well, but much depends on the choice.
Copper sulfate
It is a powerful fungicide and antiseptic that protects trees from scab and rot, powdery mildew, rust, late blight and coccomycosis, moniliosis and other diseases.
Processing
It is used to treat trees and shrubs in the first ten days of March, before the buds begin to swell and after the average daily air temperature reaches around +5 degrees.
For adult trees, use a solution based on 300 grams of the product and 10 liters of water (or 100 grams and 10 liters of water for young trees).
Ferrous sulfate
Used for the prevention and treatment of fungal diseases, destruction of moss and lichen, and prevention of chlorosis.
It slows down the awakening of plants and the opening of buds.
In spring it is used when necessary and long before the buds open.
It is not compatible with lime, Bordeaux mixture and copper sulfate, so at least 2 months should pass between treatments.
Which is better?
As you can see, it is best to use copper sulfate for early spring treatment. And leave iron sulfate for autumn work in the garden.
