Why is everyone silent about this? What plants should be planted in the spring to keep ticks away from your property

Did you know that ticks hate the smell of some plants more than chemical repellents?

In the spring, when these bloodsuckers wake up, your site can (and should) be turned into an impregnable fortress.

For example, lavender produces essential oils that paralyze tick receptors, causing them to crawl in the opposite direction. Plant it along paths and near the gazebo - the aroma will not only scare away pests, but also calm your nerves.

Another defender is tansy. Its bright yellow inflorescences contain thujone, which is toxic to ticks. Place tansy bushes around the perimeter of the garden, and the parasites will not dare to cross the border.

And if you want to finish off the enemy "on the fly", add catnip to the landscape. Its smell attracts cats, which destroy ticks in the grass.

But remember: it is better to plant it away from the beds, otherwise the harvest will become a victim of furry hunters.

To enhance the effect, spray the plants with garlic infusion once a month - this will create an invisible barrier. After a season, you will forget what a tick looks like.

But that's not all. The rosemary you grow for your barbecue also repels ticks. Its pungent aroma masks the scent of people and animals, confusing the pests.

And if you plant wormwood at the entrance to your house, you will block the path not only for ticks, but also for mosquitoes.

Interestingly, ticks avoid areas where thyme grows. Its essential oils disrupt their nervous system.

To be on the safe side, place fresh thyme branches in the relaxation area and you will be able to sunbathe without fear.

And don't forget about your lawn: mow the grass regularly to deprive ticks of a place to hide. The shorter the vegetation, the less chance the pests have to latch onto your clothes.
