This Sign Gives Away A Liar In A Second – Check If Your Partner Does It

Do you know for sure when you are being lied to? You can recognize a lie not by the eyes, but by the hands.

If a person suddenly starts rubbing their palms, hiding them in their pockets, or touching their neck, these are signs of stress.

Markers and Experiments

But there are more subtle markers. For example, phrases like "honestly" or "if you don't believe me..." - they subconsciously justify the deception.

Conduct an experiment: ask a neutral question and watch the reaction.

If your partner answers too quickly or, on the contrary, slowly, adds unnecessary details (“I was in the store, bought bread, there was a line, then…”) - this is a reason to think.

But don't rush to conclusions! The best way to find out the truth is to create an atmosphere of trust.

Say, "I'm worried you're hiding something. Let's talk about it." More often than not, it's fear of judgment that drives people to lie, not malicious intent.

There are other signs too.

A liar avoids direct answers, changes the subject, or accuses you of not trusting him.

For example: "Are you following me?" And also pay attention to facial expressions. Microexpressions last for a split second: pursed lips, a squinted eye, a twitching cheek.

But remember: even honest people can get nervous when they feel pressured. Don't interrogate.

Instead, say, "I'm always on your side, even if the truth is unpleasant." This will remove the barrier, and it will be easier for the person to open up.

Trust your intuition

If something doesn't feel right, don't ignore it. But don't turn your relationship into a detective game.

Trust is the foundation of any relationship, even if it sometimes requires working on mistakes.
