Many people, especially the younger generation who were not born in the USSR, are skeptical about things from the Soviet era.

It's a shame. Such items are now highly valued by collectors who are ready to pay a pretty penny for them.

For example, for books. Today, those that were published during the Soviet era can be sold for serious money.

In some cases, we are talking about millions of rubles.

For example, this is how they are ready to thank for the rare book by Vladimir Mayakovsky, “The Story of Vlas, the Lazy and Loafer.”

Year of publication: 1927. The circulation by USSR standards was very small – only 7,000 copies.

Some citizens are offering exactly 1 million rubles for this book.

No less popular among desperate book lovers is Fyodor Dostoevsky’s book “Demons”, published in 1934.

According to some sources, most of the copies were destroyed by the Soviet authorities at the time, so it is believed that only a couple of books from 1934 have survived.

An auction was held recently. This book was sold there for 3,400,000 rubles.

There was also an attempt to destroy Boris Pasternak’s book, published in 1948 by the Soviet Writer publishing house.

The idea was not fully realized, so some books are now in citizens' libraries.

One of these was sold several years ago for 5 million rubles.
