The famous Persian poet, philosopher and thinker Omar Khayyam once gave advice that, as it turned out, has been relevant for many centuries.
Today, this wisdom, presented in Khayyam’s traditional rubai, is especially important.
Even psychologists cannot always answer the eternal questions of humanity as clearly, wisely and deeply as the great Persian did.

In this case, we are talking about people who have crossed the 40-50 age threshold.
It is during this period that many begin to rethink the years they have lived, to seek a deeper meaning in existence, and to try to comprehend the essence of being in general.
What is it better not to do at this age, and what, on the contrary, is it desirable to do every day?
Omar Khayyam also gave answers to these questions.
He who understands life is no longer in a hurry,
Savoring every moment and observing,
As a child sleeps, an old man prays,
As the rain falls, and as the snowflakes melt.
The main idea is not to rush, to leave all the vanity in the past, to appreciate every moment you live now.
This advice is very relevant in our time, when the crazy pace of life and constant fuss distract us from really important things.
The poet believes that only then will a person find inner peace and, accordingly, improve his life when he stops constantly running, hurrying, and fussing.
Instead, Khayyam recommends paying attention to what, in his opinion, has lasting value: the people around us, nature, the world in general.
Haste does not allow us to enjoy all this, and perhaps, by missing the most important thing in life, we miss life itself. So says the sage.
