Here are some sad moments that make life miserable for a domestic cat.
Let's start with the tray
If it is in the bathroom next to the washing machine, the cat will endure it until the last moment and then go to the corner.
These animals value privacy and cleanliness. Place the tray in a quiet place, wash it without strong odors and use dust-free filler.
And one more thing: one cat should have two litter boxes. This is not a whim, but a rule.
Now about the claws
To trim them or not? If the cat does not walk outside, trimming is necessary, but only the transparent part!
They touched the pink zone, causing pain and bleeding.
Better buy a scratching post. Not a vertical one, but a horizontal one - many cats prefer to scratch carpets. Sprinkle it with catnip to attract attention.
The next nightmare is food.
Dry food in a bowl 24/7 may seem convenient, but it leads to obesity.
Cats are hunters and need to eat small meals 10-15 times a day. Buy a puzzle feeder that makes them "get" food, or hide pellets around the house.
And forget about milk - adult cats do not have the enzymes to digest it.
And how do you play?
Shake the bow for five minutes and throw it away? Cats need to simulate hunting: first sneak up, then jump, then tear the prey apart.
Use fishing rods with feathers, move them like a mouse - not in the air, but on the floor. After the game, give a treat - this will complete the cycle.
And finally
Hide the wires and toxic plants! Cats chew wires out of boredom, and lilies, aloe, and dieffenbachia cause poisoning.
Buy grass to chew (sprouted oats) and catnip toys.
Don't squeeze the cat when it doesn't want to. If it breaks away, let it go. Violence breeds fear.
It's better to wait until she comes to her knees herself. Remember: a cat is not a dog, she needs her personal space. Respect her boundaries, and she will respond with love.
