Owners are warned against the habit of humanizing the behavior of pets.
Simply put, you shouldn't think that if a cat has discharge from its eyes, it means it's crying. It's important to understand the reason - it's possible that the animal needs qualified help.
The reasons were named by experts from the publication “ Doctor Peter ”.

Why do cats cry?
1. This may be a sign of a developing infection, allergies, conjunctivitis and the herpes virus, which can also cause watery eyes.
2. A cat may shed tears due to problems with the glands, or more precisely, due to obstruction of the ducts.
3. Also, do not exclude the possibility of eye or head injuries.
4. In addition to eye infections, watery eyes can be caused by ear infections and parasites.
Diseases can be caused by fleas and ticks.
5. Another reason that cannot be diagnosed at home is glaucoma.
The disease leads to increased eye pressure, causing discomfort and lacrimation.
6. Tearing can be caused by chronic diseases of the liver, kidneys or heart.
What to do
In such situations, experts advise monitoring your pet's well-being.
If symptoms do not resolve within 1-2 days, the cat should be taken to the veterinarian.
Do not delay if purulent discharge, redness or swelling appears.
