The local public and business complex "Lakhta Center" acted as the New Year tree.
The 82-story building was painted emerald green for the New Year celebrations.
It is specified that immediately after the chimes, a grand light show began.
However, on January 8, the city authorities intend to turn off the tree.

And last year, a 112-meter Christmas tree was installed in Kuala Lumpur, which was even included in the Guinness Book of Records.
