It is also extremely important to avoid overwatering.

How to Preserve a Christmas Tree
As Gerfurt explained, the care rules differ for cut spruce trees and trees in tubs.
The general recommendation is to place the tree away from heating devices.
If we are talking about a tree in a tub, you should avoid overwatering.
It is enough to spray such a tree periodically from a spray bottle.
On January 2 or 3, the tree in the tub should be moved to the balcony or outside. In the spring, such a tree can be planted.
A cut tree needs slightly different care. If it is placed in some kind of substrate, it should be slightly moistened.
You can add mineral fertilizer or complex fertilizer for conifers.
It is also recommended to periodically spray the needles with a spray bottle.
