This was announced on December 19 at a press conference by the head of the department for mass events of the law enforcement department of the Main Directorate for the Protection of Public Order of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Sergei Losich.

As Losich explained, during the holidays the police and internal troops will be transferred to an enhanced service mode.
Police officers will be on duty at the locations where the festive events are taking place, and the density of patrols on the streets will increase.
Particular attention is planned to be paid to entertainment establishments.
Also, control over the situation will be ensured using video surveillance systems.
Traditionally, the checkpoint will be set up with a preliminary inspection of the territory by sappers.
Persons carrying prohibited items or who are intoxicated will not be allowed into the festivities.
