There is a folk tradition of counting the shards of a broken mirror to understand what to expect. They say that an odd number promises a wedding. This applies not only to the person who broke the mirror, but also to his close relatives who may soon get married.
An even number of fragments promises, according to belief, some kind of grief in the family. There is a sign that this even predicts the death of a relative.
Why you shouldn't look into a broken mirror
Esotericists point out that a person's reflection in a mirror is his energetic "double". In their opinion, someone who looks into a broken mirror can bring illnesses and failures upon themselves.
The mirror is broken – what to do?
First of all, collect all the fragments. For this, use not a vacuum cleaner, but a damp broom. Signs recommend doing this work silently, you can't talk to anyone.
Then the fragments are wrapped in black or any other dark-colored fabric. Beliefs do not advise keeping the fragments in the house for a long time - the sooner they leave the home, the better.
It is also not recommended to leave a cracked mirror at home. It is wrapped in a dark cloth and thrown away.
