What if common salt could make your dish soap work twice as well?
Don't believe me? Try pouring a teaspoon of salt onto a sponge, dripping the product on top and scrubbing the greasy pan.
Even dried plaque will disappear without effort, and the surface will shine like new.

The secret is that salt crystals act as an abrasive, enhancing the cleaning ability of the gel, but do not scratch the surface.
Why does it work? Salt is a natural antiseptic that degreases and disinfects. When you mix it with dish soap, it breaks down fat molecules, making them “weaker.”
Salt also softens water, preventing streaks from appearing on glassware.
Add a pinch to the water when washing your glasses and they will sparkle without even rinsing under the tap.
But the main life hack is for the oven and grill. Mix salt with dishwashing liquid in a 1:1 ratio, apply to the solidified fat and leave for 15 minutes.
The dirt will dissolve, and all you have to do is wipe the surface with a damp cloth.
It is much cheaper than special cleaning products and safer for your health - no corrosive fumes.
A common mistake is to use coarse salt on thin surfaces. Use fine salt or sea salt without additives to avoid scratches.
Another bonus: salt prolongs the life of sponges. Soak them overnight in salt water - this will kill bacteria and eliminate odor.
And if you add salt to the water when washing floors, it will prevent streaks and repel ants.
Simple, cheap and surprisingly effective – like all ingenious solutions.
