Sawdust concrete

The specialist says that, in his opinion, this is the only correct way to insulate the facade of a wooden house once and for all.

He suggests using sawdust concrete as a material – an inexpensive but high-quality insulation material.

It is assured that this material can serve faithfully for decades.

And all because sawdust has a number of advantages compared to other materials.

What not to use

The professional does not recommend using modern methods of insulating log or timber facades.

He cites the following fact as the reason for this: mineral wool, polystyrene foam, polyurethane foam, even ecowool will not provide homeowners with the results they expect.

Argument: polymer insulation materials are impermeable to steam, which wood does not like.

But mineral wool and ecowool themselves do not tolerate steam.

Due to the above mentioned features, the builder chooses sawdust concrete.

He names its fragility as its only drawback. However, when using the material specifically as insulation, this does not matter.

How to prepare a mixture for sawdust concrete

We take 10 buckets of sawdust, a bucket of lime and a bucket of cement.

We make a solution and form slabs – they will actually become our insulation.

And if we add copper sulfate, then rodents will not be able to spoil the insulation we have created.
