Lemons, beloved by many, unfortunately, spoil faster than expected.
In addition, these citrus fruits are susceptible to mold. But this does not mean that they cannot be stored for a long time.
A regular newspaper will help the fruit stay fresh for several weeks.

However, it is worth remembering that the quality and shelf life are also affected by the type of fruit you choose in the store.
When buying, look at the skin - take only those lemons that do not have brown spots.
The freshness of a citrus fruit can be determined by its smell – if it is intense, the product is probably good.
So, after the store, do not rush to put the fruit in the refrigerator. For long-term storage, arm yourself with regular newspaper.
It absorbs excess moisture well and prevents mold attacks.
Important: each fruit must be wrapped separately.
If you don't have a newspaper at home, you can use kitchen baking paper.
By the way. The most optimal temperature for storing lemon is between +10 and +12 degrees.
This means that a pantry or cellar would be an excellent location for citrus.
As for refrigerators, many of them have temperature conditions that are too cold for lemons.
