Why you should start ironing a shirt from the collar: it's much easier and faster

You probably spend time choosing the perfect shirt, but its appearance can be ruined in seconds if you iron it incorrectly.

It all starts with preparation: slightly damp fabric is easier to iron than dry fabric. Just spray the shirt with water from a spray bottle - this will make it easier to iron out the creases.

The first thing the iron touches is the collar. It is ironed first from the inside, then from the front side to avoid unevenness.

Next up are the cuffs. Unbuttoned and spread out on the board, they require careful processing: even a small fold here is noticeable.

The sleeves are ironed carefully, moving from the shoulder to the cuff.

To avoid leaving unwanted lines, iron only the central part, without touching the folds.

The final stage is the hems and back. The area with buttonholes deserves special attention: after buttoning it becomes noticeable.

If you don't iron it enough, the fabric will stick out, creating a sloppy effect.

A simple rule - start with subtle details and gradually move on to large ones - will turn any shirt into an example of impeccable style.

Don't forget about the iron temperature. Cotton requires maximum heat, while synthetics are ironed at minimum values to avoid leaving shiny spots.

If the shirt is decorated with embroidery or a print, iron it from the inside out so that the decoration is not damaged.

Once finished, don't rush to fold the item: hang it on a hanger to keep its shape. This way, all your efforts won't be in vain, even after a long day.
