You've probably used aluminum foil hundreds of times to wrap kebabs or roast vegetables. But what if we told you that this rolled "silver" can do more?
Foil can be used not only in the kitchen, but also during cleaning, in the garage, to protect plants from pets, etc.
Lifehacks with foil
1. Let's start with the kitchen: if your knives are dull and you don't have a sharpener at hand, fold the foil in several layers and cut it with a blade.
The metal acts as an abrasive, and in a couple of minutes the knife will be sharp again.
And if you wrap the neck of a banana bunch in foil, they won’t darken and will stay on the table for a week without turning into mush.
2. Foil is the perfect cleaning aid. Roll a ball out of foil, throw it into the washing machine with your laundry – it will soften the water and enhance the effect of the powder.
And if the iron starts to stick to your clothes, iron a sheet of foil - this will clean the sole from carbon deposits without chemicals.
3. Men will appreciate life hacks for the garage. Wrap the battery terminals in foil so that they do not oxidize in the winter.
Or make a funnel out of it for pouring oil - you won't have to wash dishes after the renovation.
You can even use foil to light a fire: wrap dry branches in it and they will catch fire faster than a match.
4. Do you know how to save houseplants from a cat that likes to dig the ground? Put pieces of foil on the soil - the animal will not want to touch it with its paws.
Or use foil as a reflector for seedlings: place sheets around the pots, and the light from the window will be distributed evenly.
5. When traveling, foil can replace a thermos: wrap a hot sandwich in it and it will stay warm for 2–3 hours.
And if you wrap it around wet shoes near a fire, it will dry overnight.
Now you definitely won't be able to look at this roll as "just packaging". It saves time, money and nerves - and what else do you need to be happy?
